Neighbourhood Overview
The 57 hectare wooded area overhangs Villefranche and Saint –Jean-Cap-Ferrat on its eastern slope, and Nice Port and the “Baie des Anges” on its western side. The Mont Boron rises at 191m, which gives it a towering up position and allows a 360° view above the town, sea and mountains. This preserved site is planted with Mediterranean species and walk paths runs across the forest. On top of it, the Mont Alban fort, erected in the sixteenth century protected the town. Although it was declared an unconstructible zone a long time ago, the Mont boron hosts several privileged houses and villas built before the interdiction.
